Hanami Lane, 花見小路or rather flower viewing lane at the Gion area of Kyoto, was packed with both international and local tourists on a Sunday afternoon.
We were expecting to see, at least one geisha. However, luck was not with us. Saw no one of them. But we did see many local ladies dressed up in Kimono, only that their faces were not painted pure white.
Geisha, specially trained skillful art performers / entertainers to their patrons. They specialise in classical music and dances. They dress up in Kimono and complete with a special nape make-up during performance. The dressing up and make-up are time-consuming, which will normally takes hours to complete.
We stopped at the Kawaramachi station of Hankyu Kyoto Line, the last or rather the first stop of this line. Many other buses also stopped at Gion.

Tea house that bears the same name as this lane, we wanted to have tea here, but it wasn't open for business, even on a Sunday afternoon
